HV ELECTRIFICATION WORKS

RJ Power Rail provides a range of HV electrification works and services – 6.6kV to 33kV – for our rail clients across the UK rail infrastructure. We cover every aspect of an HV electrification project including design, installation, testing, commissioning and bringing into service. Our highly experienced staff are specifically trained in dealing with the HV networks across the rail industry.

HV feeders – providing maintenance, fault finding, repair, cable jointing, installations, renewals and enhancements of 33kV, 25kV and 11kV Oil and XLPE HV feeder and pilot cables on Network Rail’s HV electrification network including works within National Grid sites.

Transformers – from auxiliary transformers to transformer rectifiers – covering all services including design, de-commissioning, modifications, installations, testing and commissioning of various types of equipment into service.

Substation installations – from containerised sub-stations to installation/modifications of internal switchgear, including all associated protection setting requirements and the upgrade of existing traction parallel huts (TP huts). We can also supply and install new modules, undertake re-builds and test and commission into service.
