Celebrating an electrifying career
Martyn’s electrical engineering career began five decades ago in the steel industry in South Wales, after which he worked in power engineering at the Central Electricity Generating Board (CEGB) throughout the UK, finishing at Dungeness in 1993. He has had an extensive career with several organisations as Chief Engineer/Head of Engineering and Senior Authorising Engineer throughout EMEA, and has been a practising, hands-on HV engineer for over 30 years, working at government estates, the MOD and critical infrastructure and data centres.
Martyn is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers and a Fellow of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management. He joined RJ Power in 2022 and is a passionate health and safety practitioner, providing corporate safety leadership across the business portfolio.
‘We would all like to pay tribute to this impressive milestone in Martyn’s electrical engineering career,’ says RJ Power Executive Chairman Peter White. ‘It is very rare these days that individuals achieve 50 years in an industry. I would personally like to thank him for his continued support and diligence in creating a safer business for everyone. Many congratulations on achieving 50 years in the industry.’
